  • We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 1 day (24 hours) before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee. We use a 9 minute late policy which means if you arrive more than 9 minutes past your appointment time, we may not be able to take you for your appointment and it will be considered a no show. No shows will be required to pay 50% of the missed service cost in order to rebook their next appointment. If you are running late please text us at 919-346-7133 to let us know! Thank you for your understanding and helping to support a small business!

Waxing

  • Hair needs to be about the length of a grain of rice. This is usually about 1-2 weeks if you typically shave, and 4-6 weeks if you wax regularly. If the hair is shorter, the wax isn’t always able to grip the hairs and there for we may not be able to remove all of the visible hairs at one time. If hair is longer you can trim it to the required length. Please note that the waxer will only trim for you when the length of the hair prohibits them from waxing safely. Waxing with hair longer than required can be more painful than when it is at the appropriate length.

  • I won’t lie and tell you it’s absolutely pain free. It does hurt a little bit. But most people are surprised at how much less it hurts than they thought it would. And when you see the results you will realize it is totally worth it! The more frequently you wax, the less it hurts each time and the less hair grows back. You can count on your waxer to talk you through each service and let you know what to expect. We pride ourselves on working with beginners and turning them into dedicated regulars! Once you try it you will be hooked!

  • Yes! You absolutely can. We just ask that you please wear a tampon or a menstrual cup during the service, and let your waxer know before beginning so that they can make sure the tampon string is out of the way. You can also use one of the wipes provided to quickly freshen up before starting your service.

  • Exfoliate the area 24 hours prior to your appointment. Avoid exfoliating the same day to prevent extra sensitivity. Take ibuprofen 30 min before your scheduled appointment. Avoiding alcohol and caffeine the night before/ day of your appointment  may help prevent sensitivity as well.

  • After your appointment you may feel slight tenderness for the next 24 hours. You can apply ice to the area if needed for a soothing effect but this is rarely required. It is recommended to wear loose fitting cotton clothing immediately after your wax to allow your skin to breathe. Avoid going to the gym, pool, hot tub, or friction causing activities for at least 24 hours. Exfoliate the area twice weekly and apply aftercare serums/ moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and fresh.

Lashes

  • The Lash Lift is the beauty equivalent of a push-up bra or perm for your lashes. The treatment instantly gives them lift, separation, and extra definition without the use of extensions. Results last anywhere from 6-8 weeks depending on the growth cycle of your lashes.

  • Arrive at your appointment with clean, makeup free eyes. Please remove any contact lenses prior to beginning the appointment. If you have any allergies or skin sensitivities please let your esthetician know before beginning the service. Once you get there be prepared to be laying down for about an hour to and hour and a half. If you have to use the restroom please do so before we begin the service, as you will not be able to get up in the middle of the appointment.

  • Not at all! Lash lifting temporarily opens the cuticle of your lashes to mold their shape into a curl and then seals it right back up. This allows for your lashes to stay completely healthy while looking even more glamorous than before. Though some people find that process of receiving a lash lift can feel somewhat strange, I have not had a single client ever report it being painful! You may experience a small amount of sensitivity around your eyes after the service is completed similar to if you rubbed your eyes too hard and the skin was a bit red. However this should subside in a few hours.

  • Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours. This means no makeup, steam showers, pools, crying, etc. after 24 hours you can return to your normal routine. Avoid using waterproof mascara and lash curlers as they can be damaging to your lashes. Use a clean mascara wand to brush lashes up and into place in the morning and after getting them wet. This allows them to dry in the correct position and increase the longevity of your lash lift.

Facials

  • Each facial lists a description of what to expect when booking each service. Select an option based on what you skin related issues you would like to focus on. Each facial is completely customized to each client after you arrive. So no matter which option you chose we will make sure it is tailored to exactly what your skin is needing!

  • Don’t panic! This is actually completely normal! When you get a facial your skin is being treated with a higher level of product than it is used to. This allows your skin to refresh and reset. In the process of doing this, your skin will purge any blemishes that were sitting under the skin by bringing them to the surface all at once. Try not to pick or pop any breakouts and continue choir skin care routine as normal. Your skin will begin to heal the breakouts and a much longer period of clear healthy skin should follow.

  • Ideally it is recommended to get a facial once a month as a way to refresh and reset your skin. Some specific results may require more or less frequent visits. Your esthetician will discuss with you what your recommended treatment time should be after your appointment.

Makeup

  • Please come to your makeup appointment with a clean and bare face. If you have an idea of what you would like your makeup to look like please come prepared with photos to show your artist. If you are doing a makeup lesson please bring your current makeup products to the appointment with you so that our artist can show you how to use items you already own as well as give you recommendations for things you may want to go out and purchase.

  • Airbrush makeup is a professional formula and technique that involves spraying foundation directly onto the skin with an airbrush gun. This gives the skin a flawless appearance that hides any blemishes or discoloration while still feeling light and weightless on the skin. This is the perfect option for Brides or photo shoots, or events where you want your makeup to be extra waterproof.

  • To add strip lashes to your makeup appointment it will be an additional $10. Keep in mind that lashes are able to be reused if cleaned properly, and you will get to keep the lashes you purchase. If you would like to supply your own strip lashes, it will only be a $5 add on fee to have them applied.

Spray Tanning

  • It is recommended to thoroughly exfoliate your whole body 24 hours before your spray tan appointment. No lotion or oils of any kind he day of your appointment. If possible avoid wearing deodorant or makeup, or thoroughly remove before arriving.

  • We recommend wearing loose baggy clothing (typically black or darker colors are best), and avoid wearing bras, closed toed shoes, or other restrictive clothing.

  • Then go nude! Glam and Glo is a judgment free zone and a safe space! We are all professionals and understand that some times the perfect tan requires some temporary nudity. If you prefer not to, or aren’t comfortable tanning nude, then you are welcome to wear a bathing suit or undergarments during your appointment. Disposable undergarments are also available if you prefer to use them. Male clients are required to wear disposable underwear (or a covering they provide), as well as any client under the age of 16 unless a parent is present in the room.

  • After your spray tan appointment you will need to avoid water for 4-8 hours depending on the tan you chose. This includes sweating and crying (trust me it happens). After those 4-8 hours you can rinse of in the shower. You will shower with water only (NO SOAP) and use your hands or a gentle wash cloth to remove the bronzer from your skin. You may still look a little streaky but trust the process! It takes 12-24 hours for the tan to fully develop so don’t worry if you feel like you’ve washed your whole tan down the drain! 24 hours after your spray tan you can shower as usual! Go ahead and use soap to remove any left over bronzer and buff out any areas that aren’t even.

Lastly, LOTION! Lotion is your best friend! To keep your tan looking fresh and ensure that it fades evenly you want to keep you skin hydrated! Avoid products with a lot of oil and soaking in hot water as this can fade the spray tan faster.
