FAQ

General

What forms of payment does Glam and Glo accept?
We accept credit and debit cards, cash, and checks (for services over $100). Though we accept most forms of payment, tipping in cash is always appreciated!

Do you sell retail?
Yes! Glam and Glo has select retail tailored to each service that we offer. Ask your specialist what products you can purchase to help maintain your look at home!

Air Brush Spray Tanning

What should I do to prepare for my spray tan appointment?
On the night prior to or the morning of your session, use an exfoliant. This will prepare your skin by cleaning and ‘buffing’ it, leaving it cleaner than a typical soap or body wash. Your skin should also be free from applied products like lotion, and makeup. Do not wear deodorant as it will turn skin green! Wearing lose fitting clothes to your appointment is recommended.

How long will my tan last?
Most spray tans last roughly 7 to 10 days, though certain factors can extend or shorten that period.

Is Spray Tanning safe? Even while pregnant?
Yes! All spray tan formulas have been approved by the FDA and are completely safe. Glam and Glo goes one step further by offering exclusively organic and alcohol free formulas to ensure the best quality without any harmful chemicals. Though we know of no significant health risk from DHA, the tanning agent in spray tans, we ask that pregnant women use a pair of disposable nose plugs (provided for you) to minimize possible inhalation.

Makeup

How much time will my makeup service take?
For Basic Makeup Applications we schedule one hour per appointment. For Event Makeup Applications we schedule one hour and 20 minutes per appointment. Custom Makeup Lesson Appointment times may vary and will be given a time quote when the service is booked.

What if I want strip lashes with my makeup?
Strip lashes will be an add on charge of $5 if you bring your own lashes, or $12 to purchase a pair from Glam and Glo. Please keep in mind that lashes are able to be reused if cleaned properly, and you will get to keep the lashes you purchase.

Lashes

Will a lash lift damage my lashes?
No. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes. We use a nourishing treatment as the last step of the procedure to seal the lash cuticle. If you follow the post lift directions provided by your specialist, your lashes will remain completely healthy.

Is a lash lift painful?
Most people have little to no discomfort during the service. If you have severe eye sensitivity then this service may cause you some discomfort. Typically the only irritation comes from not being able to open your eyes throughout the service.
